Best of the West – Most Improved
Has moved into a new zone with recent chardonnay and oak-influenced semillon sauvignon blancs being exceptional. The estate was established by Nigel Gallop to focus on cabernet, but other varieties are excellent. Winemaker Clive Otto is doing an outstanding job.

Best of the West – Blended white (oaked)
2010 Parterre
Fast becoming the benchmark for this heavily worked blended white from Margaret River. The mix of semillon and sauvignon blanc gets both extended barrel fermentation and some stainless steel, creating a cleaver balance between the layered richness of the barrel components and the lively freshness from the tanks. Works just so well and perfect for the cellar as an alternative style.
